Today we watched Mac's ladies in the final against Roger Casements. It was a great game played by all Mac's had a brilliant start scoring point after point, but casement's managed to get a few goals in. Luckily after the second half Mac's came out of no where and kept on scoring, you couldn't keep your eyes away from the pitch as no one knew what was gonna happen next. After the match a very proud Manager Michael Hayden said "he actually thought his hair had turned grey throughout the game" Michael and Assistant Manager Andrew Walsh's hard work and support showed with the girls today. It was without a doubt one of the best games played. The support from family, friends, and players from the lads team was fantastic. It was a excellant game and also a very proud moment for alot of people especially everyone on the commitee. Thank you to Roger Casement's for giving us a brilliant final. Tonights game was for the Mick Sugrue Cup it was played against Four Master's Senior team at Pairc na H'eireann. Brilliant game played by everyone, Joseph Dowling scoring two goals & three points. Mac's owned the field today keeping the lead the whole game. Four Master's tried there hardest by scoring two goals but it just wasn't enough. Keith Sweeney proved that coming out of retirement was a great choice, as his performance this evening showed he'll be still going for another 10 years. Well Done Keith. Final score Mac's 3.19 Four Master's 2.8. Well done to all the lads who played, Man of the Match was Steven Moriarty.

This evening in Coventry, Sean Macdermott's Under 18 team played against Four Master's. Another good game played by all. Both Joseph Dowling & Keith Sweeney were very happy with the performance the lads showed on the field. It was a very tight game and it ended up with the final whistle blowing and leaving the final score Mac's 3.9 Four Master's 2.12. Man of the Match Jack Maguire. Well Done!

This evening at Pairc na H'eireann Mac's Senior team played against John Mitchel's. Another brilliant game played by Mac's despite the ref's decisions throughtout the game, but that didn't matter tonight because Mac's weren't going to give up, they knew again this was there game. They even let Mitchel's have several free's but that still didn't touch them and they were in front the whole time. The final whistle blew leaving the final score at Mac's 2.9 Mitchel's 0.8. Man of the Match to be confirmed.

This afternoon Mac's played against Four Master's in Coventry. Another great game played by all, with the sun blazing down there was no stopping Mac's today. Right from the very start Mac's proved it was there game, Four Master's tried there hardest to keep up but they had no chance. Anthony Moriarty showed Four Master's just how good he was by scoring three lovely goals. Keith Sweeney's advice & support with the lad's definitely showed today. Final Score Mac's 4.14 Four Master's 2.6 Excellant work lads, let's keep it up for Tuesday's game against John Mitchel's. Man of the Match was Anthony Moriarty.

Today was the first game of the season for the Under 18's. Excellant game played by all, and Manager Joesph Dowling was very pleased with the effort the lads showed on the pitch. The game was going really well up until the very end when unfortuatly Erin-Go-Bragh got a very soft goal which gave them the lead and the match. The final score Mac's 2.10 Erin-Go-Bragh 3.11. Man of the Match was Macaulay Felgate.

Mac's Senior team played against Erin-Go-Bragh this evening at Pairc na H'eireann, it was a tough game as Erin-Go-Bragh kept behind Mac's the whole game slowly creeping up to them, but Mac's again was the stronger side and as the final whistle blew Mac's one by one point. Final score Mac's 2.12 Erin-Go-Bragh 2.11. Every player played really well, the Man of the Match was a team effort.

This afternoon the ladies played in the Semi-final against John Mitchel's. It was an excellant game, the speed of Aoife Mannion was all to much for Mitchel's. Aoife & the team kept on top of them the whole game. There was some lovely goals and fantastic points scored. There was lots of advice and encouragement been shown by supporter's and Manager Michael Hayden. Michael's time and hard work helping the girls train every week definitely paid off today. Final Score Sean McDermott's 5.09 John Mitchel's 3.05. Well done girls! Player of the Match was Ameila Furlong.
After the ladies fantastic game, Mac's Senior team played against St Barnabas. Mac's had a brilliant first half with Joesph Dowling scoring some nice points, giving them a lead of five points, but during the second half St Barnabas got the better of Mac's and played a good game, leaving Mac's disapointed. Mac's were just unable to keep up and St Barnabas took the lead leaving the final score Mac's 1.08 St Barnabas 2.09. Man of the Match not yet confirmed.

Today the Senior team played against Four Master's for the Fr Forde Cup 2009. It was a brilliant game played by all despite the freezing weather conditions. Mac's didn't let the odd showers of rain, or the wind effect them at all. There was some brilliant points scored from the start right up until the final whistle. Four Master's tried there hardest but Mac's was on top of them the whole game. Final Score Sean McDermott's 2.20 Four Master's 1.05. Well done to everyone who played today, Man of the Match was Chris Hayden.

Another game for the Senior team against John Mitchel's today at Pairc na H'eireann, A couple of missed penalities didn't go down to well. Mac's tried there hardest to keep on the winning streak, but unfortunately today wasn't our day. Man of the match Michael Hayden.

The Intermediate team followed in the foot steps of the Senior team by carrying on the winnings, they played an excellant game against Son's of Erin at Pairc na H'eireann. Manager Keith Sweeney introduced a few of the 16,17 & 18 year old players to the match today, which proved to be great success. All lads playing a great match, well done to Tommy O'Donnell scoring a lovely point. It was a hard decision on the day to pick the Man of the Match, as the training is definitely taking effect and are proving some fine players. After some careful thinking it was finally decided that there would be two players that deserved it, they were Thomas Smith & John Dowling. Final score was Mac's 2.12 Son's of Erin 1.2

The Senior team kicked off to a brilliant start for the season, playing an interesting game against Roger Casement's at St Finbar's. The players on the day were Ian Dooley, Remond O'Donnell, Trevor Neville, John Dowling, Conor O'Riordan, Joseph Dowling, James Byrne, Liam Donnelly, Michael Hayden, Liam Gilbride, Eamon Hanlon, Martin Slevin, Steven Moriarty and Jake O'Riordan. Final score was Mac's 2.6 Casements 1.8. Excellant work lads and well done to The Man of the Match, Joseph Dowling.
